1 October 2026

utfp logo

Hey neighbour,

It's the Labour Day long weekend, the school holidays are still rolling, and there's plenty to fill your schedule for all three days, even with rain on the cards.

Petersham has a vintage clothes swap, Burwood has a Harajuku-style swap meet, line dancing is back at the Imperial and Sauce, Hopsters, Kicks and Young Henrys are teaming up for Oktoberfest. Yo-Chi is also doing two-for-one fro-yo if you put the steps in..say no more.

Kids' activities, food pop-ups, live music across the weekend, and the transport disruptions you'll want to know about are all below.

Enjoy,
Seb

SNAG A FREE ARTWORK THIS WEEKEND

Free art Salon de Refuse

Got a blank wall that needs some love, or a stack of your own artwork that needs a new home? This is the last weekend of Street Bounty's Salon de Refuse, the free, community-led art share running out the back of Young Henry’s.

The collection changes constantly, and you're genuinely encouraged to take a piece home (or bring one of your own to add to the wall). It wraps up on Sunday 4 October, so be sure to reward yourself with a cold one at Young Henry’s on your way through.
