Kawandi Slow Stitching
About this event
Introductory workshop on traditional South Asian improvisational quilting.
Learn the foundational techniques of Kawandi, a distinctive patchworking tradition originating from the Siddi community. Participants layer recycled fabric scraps and stitch them together using decorative running stitches without rulers or templates. Leave the session with a completed textile piece and a meditative new hand-sewing practice.
